Although it rained all day long, we still had a very busy and fun filled Halloween. We got together with friends for a combined Halloween and Georgia/Florida football party - but there was a lot more Halloween to celebrate than Georgia football today! We left the party to go to trick or treating at our local Publix shopping plaza, but unlike last year, there wasn't much going on there - perhaps because of the rain. So, it was on to the Fall Festival at our church, which unfortunately had to be moved indoors because of the weather and it was packed! There are usually more than 5000 that come to this event and they had set up the games, bouncy houses and activities in the gyms and classrooms. We could barely maneuver Jonah in his stroller through the crowds. Sydney did get to ride on a soaked pony, which is the highlight for her every year! She played a few games and the kids got balloons, which brought smiles to both of their faces, but we decided to go home early. Once we got home, it was Jonah's bedtime, but since the rain had stopped, I took Sydney out trick or treating in our subdivision for a while to cap off the day. She compiled all of her candy from the events of the week, and has a grocery bag full. It will take us years to eat it all!
