Uncle Brent came down to visit us for the first time over Labor Day weekend. The Dawgs were opening their season at home against UL Lafayette. We went out to Athens to show him what life is like there on game day with the idea that we would go to the game if we could get a good deal on tickets. There were several scalpers selling tickets way above market value, so our hopes were disappearing. Sydney then picked up a stick and claimed it was her "magic stick". Brent then said, "Well, if it's a magic stick, give it a wave and get us some tickets for the game!" No sooner had he said that, he looked down at the ground and there were two tickets lying there!! There was no one around to ask, so obviously someone had dropped them. We then bought another pair of tickets and went in to the stadium to cheer on the Dawgs! Brent really enjoyed his first college football game experience and it was a fun afternoon to spend together.
