We were planning to get to North Carolina to see Sam's family later this fall, but ended up going suddenly this weekend for a funeral. It was the first chance that Jonah had to see his grandparents, aunt and cousins there and of course, they were eager to meet him. Although the circumstances weren't great, it was nice to get back to the beach and catch up with old friends and family. And, of course, Jonah had lots of attention and cuddle time too!

I'm sorry you guys had another loss in your family. Those visits are always so bittersweet, I know. But I also need to say that man oh man does Sam's family have strong genes or what! I can totally see the resemblance!
