Even though this blog was created to record of the memories and experiences that our family shares together, I am going to include a post of my trip to Vegas with my favourite cous, Ang. Since we both have such wonderful husbands, who were willing and able to hold down the fort at home, this allowed us to get away for some "girl time" together. Although we were both home this past Christmas, before that it had been almost 2.5 years since we had seen each other. So, not only were we looking forward to getting away and having some fun, it was also a great chance to spend some quality time together.
It worked out that we were able to meet up in Las Vegas, Nevada. We couldn't have timed our arrivals any better, as I saw Ang's plane hit the ground just after mine did. We spent four fun-filled days in Vegas, enjoying the warm weather and pool at the Wyndham, going to see The Price Is Right, Beattles Love (Cirque du Soliel) and The Lion King shows, hitting a couple of outlet malls, as well as feasting on some great food, such as the $6.99 steak dinner at Ellis Island and a typical Vegas buffet at The Flamingo.
The time passed much too quickly, but it was certainly great to get away. Sam took two days off from work to be able to be home with the kids and did a great job. I think Sam, Sydney and Jonah were having too much fun together to even notice that I was gone!
