Our Trip North of the Border - O Canada!

Again, another month has flown by at blistering speed!! We have spent most of the past month away from home as we first travelled back to my hometown, Sarnia, Ontario. It was Jonah's first trip to Canada and the chance to introduce him to all of his Canadian relatives and friends. Although we were really busy for the entire time we were there, it was great to catch up and spend time with our family and friends there. The kids travelled so well, the toughest challenge was trying to carry all of our gear on and off of the plane, but fortunately a very friendly couple stepped up and helped me to manage the two carseats, double stroller, Sydney's backpack, my carry-on bag oh ya, and a 6 week old and 3 year old!! Definitely a blessing! Some of the highlights of our trip were get togethers with family for as always, delicious meals, Jonah meeting his Uncle Brent and Auntie Andrea for the first time, a trip to the Animal Farm with Pop Pop, swimming in Auntie Jaunelle's pool (despite Sydney falling about 3 feet from the pool ladder onto cement which did some serious, but fortunately not permanent damage to her face - the bruises are pretty obvious in some of the pics!), playing games with Grandma, reuniting with Hannah, Noah and Val and taking a walk to the beach, spending time with my close friends Kerri, Amy, Lisa, Matt and Brianne and Jaunelle (who I hadn't seen in 2 years!) as well as attending my cousin Greg's wedding. Fortunately Sam was able to fly up for a long weekend and was able to go to the wedding as well. It's was a whirlwind trip, but as always, a whole lot of fun.

Wow - not even 2 months old and already been to Canada. I know your family just treasured getting to see him while he was still so new. I'm sure Syndey enjoyed her time too! Glad you got to make that trip.
